This intelligent Terminal Server has all of our modems attached to it.
When a user calls in, it is the terminal servers responsibility to send
the user to the correct machine, authenticate users for PPP, SL/IP, or
CSL/IP usage, and in general, grant access to our network. All modems are
attached to the PortMaster's serial ports at 115.2 K bps using RTS/CTS
hardware flow control. User authentication is done via Radius on the
Egmont, and
Faust Systems.
